2005 – 02 – February

Okay, so I got this idea from Cameron Crowe, child prodigy of the swingin’ 70s and current director of mostly-good movies. Apparently, when he started going on the road, reporting on bands in the 70s for Rolling Stone magazine, he started making a mix tape a month to keep a record of who he was and what he was doing. This sounds so romantic. Here’s my February mix:

  1. Modest Mouse – Float On
  2. The Killers – Mr. Brightside
  3. Interpol – Slow Hands
  4. Smoking Popes – Not That Kind of Girlfriend
  5. The Smiths – How Soon is Now?
  6. Smoking Popes – My Girlfriend
  7. Cibo Matto – Sugar Water
  8. Ani DiFranco – Origami
  9. Belle and Sebastian – The State That I Am In
  10. Cat Power – He War
  11. Joan of Arc – Post Coitus Rock
  12. Psychedelic Furs – Pretty in Pink
  13. Morcheeba – Trigger Hippie
  14. Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Y-Control
